We love our youth group!!

Bobby & I, Melissa, are really liking the youth at TACY. They are a very diverse bunch, which we love. Some things we like about them are: they are totally fun, easy going, stylish, willing to try new things, welcoming, friendly, loyal and trying to follow Jesus and find his plan for their lives. They aren't perfect but we think they are inspiring, amazing, intriguing and we like being around them!

By the way, we won't be showing youth's pics on our blog...I couldn't resist this edited version! Sometimes I kill me.

Mr. Blue Eyes

Isn't he cute!?!

But he's more than just a pretty face (haha)...here are three thing about Bobby.

1. He's handy! He can open any jar, fix bathtubs (Kel), take of closet doors (Jaq), hang pictures, hold babies, vacuum, help build loftices, name loftices, make signs, and do a mean cannonball.

2. He's funny! Funny ha ha and funny wierd.

3. He's willing to try new things. He eats most veggies (except onions and strange ones), has given up chewing his fingernails, walks every day, chats on msn, eats thai, indian and middle eastern foods, is content with less, reading more, praying more and caring more! Hooray!

Wanna Read With Us?

Do you want to know who Jesus is? Have you heard about him but want to figure it out for yourself?

We've started, what is basically, a Who is Jesus? Read Thru of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John in the Bible. The readings are chronollogical (a word I cannot spell or say) so you read all the accounts of Jesus' birth together and then the next stories on the time line, etc. There are five or six readings every week that are quite manageable and you always have a day or two to catch up.

Things are off to a good start. More youth (and adults) than I expected are reading with me which I am very excited about.

If you would like to join us or have questions about this, just email me and i'll send the Reading List to you and try to help!
