It Was Then That I Carried You

This my favourite piece of graffitti in Toronto hands-down. When I look at it I think of a modern day Footprints. What a beautiful thing it is to be carried. Many say being carried is a sign of weakness. Well they are right but I see it as more of a reality that I need help and I need it all the time! I am not self-reliant. I need people and God himself and that is more than okay....its true!

Graffitti of the Future?

The Beat Goes On....hopefully....and probably somewhere else

Sadly, the drum group iDRUM probably won't be playing right outside our apartment on Sunday afternoons anymore. What a bummer. We loved hearing them play their hearts & hands out every Sunday.

The only thing to look forward to is more Sunday afternoon naps!! Mmmmm dreamy but not very exciting.

We are also saying goodbye to Zack & Dave from the restaurant downstairs as Big Papa's Bordello closes. They are really cool guys and we'll miss them! Check out this crazy picture of them on a 'stress strap' that they jump on and then balance and do tricks. I've never seen anything quite like it. Although, the man balancing a watermelon on his head as he walked down Dundas was a first!

Farewell Jasmine aka Jazzman, Jazzmanoff, Mr. Jazz, Spazz, Squirrelly, Rat...

Yesterday, the siamese cat my parents gave me for my 16th Birthday died. He lived out his 18 years with my parents wrapped around his little brown paw. Jazzman and his "maarawll" will be fondly remembered and sadly missed. I think I need to read some 'Get Fuzzy'...I'm feeling a moment coming on. I love that cat.

There's No Place Like Home. There's No Place Like Home. There's No Place Like Home (But The Rest Sure Is Nice!).

Bobby & I are both really glad to be back home in Toronto and looking forward to the summer ahead.

Kudos goes out to the Chotka's who mentioned staying at this cute motelly place by the hotsprings by Pocahantas on the way to Jasper. Mountains and hotwater....more science we just don't get but we definetly enjoyed it!

Kudos to Sher & Janna Martin who took us to the best Edmonton restaurant that we can never remember the name of.

Kudos to Jack & Sharon Ninaber who know how to let the good times roll.

Kudos to Corinne who let us crash her fancy room that she didn't get to enjoy on a daily basis.

Kudos to all Bobby's old & new friends. He had fun (no surprise) hangin' with all of you (especially his old district buddies)!

One final big Kudos to you reading this blog! Thanks for caring about us or at least being curious enough to check us out!

Bobby & I...In One of My Moments...Run & Hide!!

Does anyone else out there go prehistoric carnivore and attack, maime and try to devour the ones you love?

This is not to say that I don't have many good moments and qualities but sometimes I just go ballistic and I'm never really sure when this will happen. I can only guess that these moments, which have only happened with my parents & brother back in the day and with Bobby since we married, are a part of my guarded essense.

The truly scary thing is that I believe as we get older and our guards continue crumble we will see who we truly are...the good, the bad & the downright ugly. Yikes!

May God squash the selfish, destructive ugliness in me. And may I let Him and want Him to do it!

Worth the Drive to WaWa

We love WaWa!!
3 large canadian geese...who would have thunk it!

On the Road Again...and Happy Canada Day!!

Bobby is having fun driving with his bouncy seat! We're having a really good time with 'car karaoke', the stetchy motels and the incredible scenery. Our cross country drive of Canada doesn't disappoint!
